Metro Exodus Photo Mode

4A Games’ Metro Exodus will come with a photo mode in the game at its launch. The feature will be first ever in the series of Metro, and will pair greatly with the visuals of the game has to offer.

Photo mode was announced by 4A Games executive producer Jon Bloch who had the following to say, “Photo Mode has been one of the most requested features from the Metro community. They’re relatively rare in 1st person shooters, but the team have been determined to make it work and give Metro fans the opportunity to capture their own stories from the Russian wastelands.”

This feature will pair greatly with the graphics of the environment that are in the game. Especially considering how the game’s perspective looks with the GeForce RTX ray tracing demo that can be seen below.

If you have not kept up with what Metro Exodus is, it is set in the year 2013, a quarter-century after nuclear war devastated the earth, a few thousand survivors still cling to existence beneath the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East.

Thousands of kilometers from the ruins of Moscow, Artyom and his companions discover what seems like paradise – a lush, green valley, teeming with life. But if their years in the Metro have taught them one thing, it is this: The night brings terror. And here, terror has a new face…”

It is an epic story driven first person shooter game by 4A Games that blends deadly combat with stealth and exploration. All this in a survival horror theme in what is arguably one of the most immersive game worlds ever created. You get to explore the Russian wilderness across vast, non-linear levels and follow a thrilling story-line that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.

Metro Exodus launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Pc on 15 February, 2019. In addition, there is a new story trailer dropping in today 8 February.
