Our Beast of Reincarnation Guide details how you can obtain the red key in the main story of the game. It also explains when it becomes available in the main story and how the abandoned village house can be unlocked by using it. You will discover the locked door pretty early in the game, but it will only be unlocked after progressing through story missions and after you reach a specific NPC.
Red Key Location Guide – How to Obtain it.
There is a house located in the Abandoned Village, which you will come across while following the main story, but you won’t be able to open the door to it when you first see it, as it requires the Red Key. Instead of spending time looking around the area, continue with the main storyline until the game takes you to the next required locations.
In order to obtain the Red Key, you have to defeat the first boss in the game, who is Ragnifer. The battle with him will take place near the Cliff Facing Tower fast travel point. Once you defeat the boss, you can keep progressing in the game. You still won’t have possession of the Red Key.
Next, you have to travel to Sub City 03. You will come across a vent that you have to open to move forward in the story; this is your sign that you have reached this area. Enter through the vent and continue following the path below. There are no additional requirements during this section, so simply keep advancing until you reach the next important character.
While you are exploring this area, you will come across a retired gatekeeper. You have to speak with this NPC to keep the story moving. During the conversation, the retired gatekeeper will automatically give you the Red Key. There are no optional quests or extra objectives needed before receiving it, making this the point where the key officially becomes available.
After you are done interacting with him, the Red Key will be a part of your inventory. Now that you have obtained the Key, travel back to the village and return to the locked house you came across earlier.
Walk up to the entrance and interact with the door. Since you now have the required key, the door will unlock and allow you to enter the building, where you can explore and collect the rewards that are inside.
Next, make your way upstairs, where you will find a Strong Box which you can open to claim the items that were stored in it.
The Strong Box contains the following rewards:
- Amber
- Ancient Book
