Heavy Knight Armor Set & Hefty Scimitar Guide – Elden Ring Tarnished Edition
You will need to visit two separate merchants to collect all items for the Heavy Knight set.
Armor Set:
The Heavy Knight Steel Armor can be bought from a merchant at a shack in the south of the map. Head towards the merchant’s shack and talk to him about the equipment on offer. The merchant sells all four items required for a Heavy Knight’s armor set. These items include Steel Helm, Steel Armor, Steel Gauntlets, and Steel Greaves.
All of these items can be bought separately so that you can create a set even if you did not start as a Heavy Knight class. This means you can use the equipment with the class that it originally was provided for, but you are not restricted to that class.
An important thing to keep in mind is that the merchant has to be alive in order to sell the armor, so if you have previously killed the merchant, he won’t be there to sell it in that playthrough.
Hefty Scimitar:
The Heavy Knight’s weapon, Hefty Scimitar, is sold by another merchant. To find the weapon, travel to the location on the map with a campfire and a Nomadic Merchant. Go to the merchant and speak with him to open his store. The weapon can then be bought directly from this merchant.
After the items have been bought, the full outfit of Heavy Knight, consisting of Steel Helm, Steel Armor, Steel Gauntlets, Steel Greaves, and Hefty Scimitar, can be used with any class. This will allow you to get the Heavy Knight’s gear without playing as Heavy Knight.
