Honor Launches its First-Ever Gaming Laptop Hunter V700

Honor has launched its first-ever gaming laptop called the Honor Hunter V700. Honor has previously released various types of laptops ranging from Honor Magicbook Pro to the original Honor Magic Book which included both AMD and Intel Variants. Now, Honor is looking to step into the gaming scene as well with their newest laptop.

The Honor Hunter V700 Gaming laptop is powered by Intel 10th Gen & NVIDIA RTX 20 Series GPUs. The most spec’d out variant of the Hunter V700 features a 10th-generation Core i7-10750H CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. The Hunter V700 also comes with different display options, a 144 Hz panel, or the up to 4K resolution, which can be chosen by the user.

Honor has released some information about the CPU and GPU settings, stating that CPU will consume a sustained wattage of 45-watts while the GPU will consume 101-watts, with both components peaking out at 77 degrees which are great thermals for a gaming laptop.

The Hunter V700 features up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM running at a clock speed of 2,666 MHz and the RAM can be upgraded to 32 GB as well, making this laptop a good option for multitasking with heavy workloads. For storage, Hunter V700 can be fitted with up to a 1TB NVMe SSD.

Coming to the chassis design, it is made from an aluminum-magnesium alloy which holds the 16.1-inch display. The bottom panel features unique openings for optimal cooling. These openings provide two 12-Volt fans, which, Honor has stated, can increase the air volume and airflow by over 40%. The Honor Hunter V700 also features four-zone RGB backlights. As far as I/O ports are concerned, the Hunter V700 laptop features three USB ports, a single Type-C USB port, and an HDMI 2.0 port.

The Hunter V700 is coming to the Chinese market from 27th September and will be available in two configurations at the start. One is the i3-10300H CPU and GTX 1660Ti GPU, priced at RMB 7499 or $999. The other has the  i7-10750H CPU and an RTX 2060 GPU, this configuration is priced at RMB 9999 or $1,300.
