Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Niantic, Inc. and WB Games have revealed their new game Harry Potter Wizards Unite for mobile devices. The new game is inspired by Pokémon Go and will use similar mechanics to allow players to enter the wizarding world of Harry Potter on the go.

Players will get access to content from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises and will allow players to embark on Wizarding World adventure with their friends in real world. Players can prepare potions, use spells and help prevent The Calamity from exposing the secrets of the Wizarding World to the real world.

Harry Potter Wizards Unite will bring fan favorite characters from both wizarding franchises and players will be able to interact with them in real life using their mobile devices. The plays out just like Pokémon Go as players will move around the world holding their devices to play the game and different locations will give unique experiences to the players.

Players start the game as a new recruit of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force which has been established by Ministry of Magic and International Confederation of Wizards whose sole purpose is to investigate and contain The Calamity. While playing the game, the map will show players Traces of magic which will mark locations of magical Foundables.

They will be marked in special or named locations on the map such as parks, banks, municipal buildings and more just like they used to appear for Pokémon Go. Players can then cast different spells to overcome the Confoundable magic and send them back to the wizarding world and earn different types of rewards.

The game will also feature Fortresses which will be marked on the map and players will be able to test out their combat skills there. Fortresses will host different Wizarding Challenges and real-time multiplayer battles against enemies such as Death Eaters and Dementors. Players can take on such enemies by teaming up with their friends.

Players can check out more details on the official site of Harry Potter Wizarding World. The game is not released at this point however pre-registrations are now open for Android devices. iOS users will need to wait some time.
