Halo Infinite Multiplayer

Xbox Game Studios finally revealed Halo Infinite during its Xbox Games Showcase event last Thursday and following the official announcement, more details were shared about the game in an official blog post on Halo’s official forums. In this blog post, Chris, Studio Head for Halo Infinite shared brand new details about multiplayer and some of the new features revealed in the official Halo Infinite gameplay reveal.

Despite the rumors of the multiplayer getting delayed, 343 Industries earlier confirmed that this is not the case. Detailing further, Chris stated that all of the new gadgets and gizmos showcased during the campaign gameplay such as Drop Wall and Grappleshot will be part of the multiplayer experience as well. However, there is one difference that these will need to be found in the matches just like any other weapons. They will not be part of any player’s default loadout like they are in the singleplayer campaign.

Coming to multiplayer, Chris detailed the two-player co-op mode for the singleplayer is returning for Halo Infinite however this time around, players won’t have 4-player split-screen for multiplayer unlike the earlier builds of the game. The game will feature 4-player co-op however it will be online only and players will need online access and separate copies for this. This was confirmed by Jerry Hook on his official Twitter account. Jerry is the Head of Design at 343 Industries.

Apart from this information, we are also getting information on some other cool additions to the game such as Brutes will be able to pick up grunts and throw them at us during combat and that the visuals will be much better in the final build. One of the things that fans have been saying a lot since the reveal is that the visuals look extremely weak for a next-gen title however 343 Industries has stated that this is a pretty early build and visuals will be much better in the full build of the game.
