French Mobile video game developer Million Victories has announced the successful completion of a nearly $40 million funding round comprising primary and secondary investments by U.S. private equity firm Haveli Investments. Million Victories is the developer of the multiplayer strategy game Million Lords. Million Victories was founded back in 2017, and since then, the studio has doubled its revenue annually, and it intends to use the capital provided by Haveli to expand its global presence and operations.
Haveli’s main aim in investing in Million Victories is to build on its strong momentum and focus on the recruitment of strategic talent while ramping up investment in production, marketing, and user acquisition in key markets such as the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The company is also eying the Asian markets, such as South Korea and Japan, as part of its growth. Million Victories wants to double its workforce by 2027, and it is planning to hire for several key positions like Game Director, Live Ops Director, CTO, Growth Lead, and Senior UA Managers.

This is not the first time that Million Victories has secured funding for its operations. Back in 2019, the studio announced $1.4M funding. Apart from this, the studio is already backed by Griffin Gaming Partners and Eurazeo. Their debut title, Million Lords, was released back in 2019, and since then, it has managed to cross 4 million players worldwide and has established itself pretty well in the 4X mobile strategy game genre.
