Free Mortal Kombat 11

NetherRealm is dishing out a free-to-play version of Mortal Kombat 11 this weekend, starting tomorrow. You can play the game on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One all the way up till Sunday, October 14.

The free version also comes with the most recent DLC characters that were introduced in the game. This means that you can play two chapters of the story mode, 1v1, The Krypt, Towers of Time, and Fatality Training. If you go to Towers of Time, you can play as the Terminator, Shang Tsung, and Nightwolf.

When we say the Terminator, it means Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. Take a look a the trailer below:

If you want to play online, both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will require you to have their premium membership, Xbox Live Gold, and PlayStation Plus. If you do not have the membership, you can still access the offline content it offers.

In addition to the free trial, the game will also be offered at a discount all throughout this weekend. So if you like the game, you can get 40%, and get the full game from the PlayStation and Xbox stores. The discount will drop the price from $60 to $36, which is quite inviting. If you want to go a step further, you can also get the Premium Edition of the game, which is also being offered at a discounted price. The Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 11 will be $54 this weekend, as opposed to the original price of $90.

The Premium Edition will also contain the Kombat Pack, containing all the new playable characters, new skins, and gear. Any progress you make in the free trial version this week will carry on to the full game when you purchase it.
