Indie publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Happy Broccolli Games have announced the launch of their anime-inspired title Kraken Academy!!. Kraken Academy!! is coming to both Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in early 2022 for $17.99 while currently, the title is available on Steam for PC, macOS, and Linux. There is no word on a PlayStation release at this point.
Released back in September 2021 on PC, Kraken Academy!! currently has a 95% very positive rating on Steam. The announcement was made during the ID@Xbox Event and the developer also announced that a free demo of the title is also now available from the Xbox Store that players can download and try out the game before its official release. The demo offers a small slice of the full game and Nintendo Switch fans will be able to download the demo in early 2022 as well.
The official press release describes the title as Groundhog Day-meets-anime school comedy and the game follows the adventures of a new student who arrives on the school campus where he is granted time-travel powers from a magical Kraken. The student is then tasked with overcoming awkward situations, uncovering the school secrets, and also preventing the impending apocalypse.

In Kraken Academy!!, four clubs define the student sectors of the school namely Music, Art, Sports, and Drama. Each school features colorful characters for you to interact with and each of these characters has its own routines, likes and dislikes, and social handles. You will be free to explore the campus, attend parties and help the school janitor to bring down a crime syndicate.
At this point, there is no confirmed release date for Kraken Academy!! for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch however if you really want to try it out, you can either get the full game on PC or play the free demo on Xbox One. The full Xbox One and Nintendo Switch releases are slated for early 2022.
