Nintendo just held its Nintendo Direct for March 2025, showcasing the upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. For another Nintendo Switch 2 Direct slated for April 2, 2025, we got to see what is in store for Nintendo’s current-gen console. The event shows that Nintendo is not done with the console yet, and even with Nintendo Switch 2 coming soon, the original Nintendo Switch still has a lot of life left in it. Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is currently under development at Square Enix and it continues the ‘Erdrick Trilogy’ narrative of the iconic DRAGON QUEST series in the form of a modern version. It is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
No Sleep for Kaname Date – From AI: The SOMNIUM Files
No Sleep for Kaname Date: From AI: The SOMNIUM Files is launching on Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2025. In the title, you join Special Agent Kaname Date on the case to discover the whereabouts of internet idol Iris, who has been trapped in a mysterious escape game.
RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army
RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is slated for launch on Nintendo Switch on June 19, 2025. In the game, you will experience the story of Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, an apprentice detective and Devil Summoner. You will undertake the case of the century and uncover the secrets of the Soulless Army with your demons.
Shadow Labyrinth
Shadow Labyrinth is slated for release on July 18, 2025, on Nintendo Switch. In this game, you will phase shift between Swordman No. 8, Mini PUCK and GAIA to discover the secrets and consume your foes to upgrade yourself.
Patapon 1+2 Replay
Patapon 1+2 REPLAY is launching on July 11, 2025, on the Nintendo Switch console. In this cute little adventure game, you will guide the small and delicate yet endearing creature called the Patapon through their adventure with the rhythm of four drums. The Patapon have different classes with each offering a distinct role and combat style.
Story of Seasons – Grand Bazaar
Story of Seasons – Grand Bazaar is launching on Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2025. You will explore Zephyr Town, where you will rebuild your farm from small beginnings and breathe new life into the town’s once famous bazaar.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in 2025, and you can add it to your wishlist right now. In this upcoming title, you will harness Samus’s new psychic abilities to survive the mysterious planet of Viewros and find a way home.
Disney Villains Cursed Café
Disney Villains Cursed Café is now available on Nintendo Switch and in this unique game, you will procure potions to fulfill the villains’ whims. You will mix and serve a variety of magical elixirs that can change the outcome of each villain’s story.
Witchbrook
Witchbrook is launching on Nintendo Switch in Winter 2025. You will master spells at the Witchbrook College, craft goods to grow your witch business, participate in seasonal events, and customize your charming cottage and garden to your liking.
The Eternal Life of Goldman
The Eternal Life of Goldman is slated for release on Nintendo Switch this holiday season. In this dark yet vibrant platformer, the game combines legends, fairy tales, and myths. You will explore a vast hand-drawn Archipelago, inspired by ancient fables and depicted in classic frame-by-frame animation.
Gradius ORIGINS
Gradius ORIGINS is slated for launch on Nintendo Switch on August 7, 2025. In this game, you will venture into deep space and face off against relentless alien forces. This is a collection that brings together six iconic arcade classics along with a brand-new SALAMANDER III title as well.
Rift of the NecroDancer
Rift of the NecroDancer is now available on Nintendo Switch. In the game, you will find all-new rhythm games as you are dragged into a strange world. You will need to engage in musical combat with monsters.
Tamagotchi Plaza
Tamagotchi Plaza is slated for launch on Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2025. It is the next title in the fan-favourite shop simulator Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop, and it invites you into a whimsical world of Wonder Shops with over 100 Tamahotchi to play with.
Pokemon Legends Z-A
Pokemon Legends Z-A is launching on Nintendo Switch later this year. Set in the Lumiose City, the game will see skilled trainers participate in the Z-A Royale, a tournament where you will rank up via unique new Pokemon battles that happen in real time and can feature Mega Evolutions.
Rhythm Heaven Groove
Rhythm Heaven Groove is the latest title in the Rhythm Heaven series, and it is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in 2026. It will feature multiple mini-games.
Virtual Game Cards
Nintendo has announced Virtual Game Cards, a new Nintendo Switch mechanic that will allow you to share games between multiple Nintendo Switch consoles, including the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Star Overdrive is launching on Nintendo Switch on April 10, 2025. In Star Overdrive, you will race across an alien planet as you glide on your Hoverboard and master gravity-defying tricks, battle powerful enemies, and solve puzzles.
The Wandering Village
The Wandering Village is launching on Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2025. In this unique colony game, the world is filled with mysterious plants, and you must control a small group of survivors who are seeking shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature. You must build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the creature to ensure both of you survive together.
