Epic Games Has Extended Fortnite Season X for a Week

Fortnite Season X Extended

Season X of Fortnite is in its last phases and it originally scheduled to end on October 6 however Epic Games has extended the season for a week. This means that Season X of Fortnite will now conclude on October 13 giving players more time to experience the Season X exclusive map and collect the Battle Pass items that they will still have left to collect. Players will also able to complete the all-new Overtime Challenges starting October 8.

Season X was a very important season for Fortnite because it served as a remembrance season as we saw things return back from all seasons prior to Season X during the current season. We saw Kevin, Dusty Depot and many other iconic things that were signature items during their seasons return back in Fortnite Season X. We also saw the most collaborations during this season and each week brought something totally new to the game.

Season X also brought the mech to the game for the first time which caused massive fan outrage and Epic had to nerf it quite a bit to calm down the fans. However, with all this going on here and there, Fortnite also saw a decline in its player base during this season. Fans were somewhat disappointed with the new season and it seems like the Battle Royale giant might be losing its top spot.

Whatever the case may be, Epic Games has now extended the Season X for another week and after that, we will finally get to see Fortnite Season 11 which is rumored to bring a brand new map to the game as well. A loading screen in the current season shows different skins waving goodbye to the Battle Bus which appears to be flying away from the island and we also have some recent dataminers leaks which point towards a brand new map arriving in Fortnite.

If a brand new map is indeed coming to Fortnite, it won’t be a surprise because Apex Legends recently entered its Season 3 and it received a brand new map. It only makes sense that Epic Games now release a brand new map for Fortnite as well because, despite every season bringing new changes to the map, it mostly remains the same across the board and fans are indeed getting bored of the classic map.
