EA might be planning some remasters behind its closed doors and we might soon see some of our best franchises return back to life in the form of remasters. EA recently announced its plans for its next fiscal year of April 2020 to March 2021 and during the announcement, EA specifically mentioned that it is planning to remaster some fan-favorite titles from its past catalog.
We have so many titles that we would like to return back to the modern platforms however everyone is pointing out that Need for Speed – Underground 2 could be one of the titles that are coming back to life in the form of a remaster. When it comes to the NFS franchise, EA never goes back to remasters.
It released new titles under the name of Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit but they were reboots and nothing like the original titles they were named after. This is the first time when EA has finally mentioned the term ‘remaster’ and it seems like fans are already hyped for them. Fans have been asking for Need for Speed Underground 3 for a long time however EA has been ignoring the name for a long time.
However, it seems like fans might not be getting Underground 3 but with the new announcement, chances for a remaster of Need for Speed Underground 2 cannot be eliminated since fans have been asking for it for ages. At this point, EA is already working on a Command and Conquer Remaster and continues to update fans about its progress.
Apart from Need for Speed – Underground 2, other possible titles could include Death Space as it was a solid horror franchise as well and after the disappointing third chapter in the franchise, fans now want a remaster of the original game which really sets the pace for the entire franchise. Other than Dead Space, we could also be looking at Skate titles coming back as Remasters.
