KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force have confirmed that Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered will launch worldwide on October 1, 2026, on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A new game introduction trailer has also been released, showcasing the remaster’s new features, additional story scenarios, and its two-player co-op mode. The trailer was showcased during the Sony State of Play event.
The remaster brings back one of the most popular entries in the long-running Warriors series and adds several new combat and customization mechanics that weren’t in the original. Evasion lets players dodge incoming strikes or pull back from the front line, while Just Evasion rewards perfectly timed dodges with a counterattack window.
Perfect Power Guard allows players to deflect attacks to stun enemies and create openings, and Weapon Fusion lets players sacrifice unwanted gear to transfer elemental attributes and skills onto their preferred weapons, building a more powerful and personalized loadout over time.
Beyond the new mechanics, the remaster includes a set of new story scenarios that expand on the original game’s narrative while introducing a larger roster of unlockable officers. The new content is designed to blend naturally with the classic story rather than feel like a separate addition, giving returning fans something fresh to discover alongside the familiar campaign.
The offline two-player mode also makes its return, supporting both cooperative and competitive play via split-screen across Musou, Free, and VS Modes. It’s one of the features that made the original so memorable, and its inclusion here will be a welcome addition for anyone planning to play with a friend.
Pre-orders are open now across all platforms. Alongside the standard digital edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition is available that includes the base game, 42 weapons, the Six Secret Teachings, Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet items, an Officer Concept Art Collection, and a set of 42 retro costumes based on the original game’s designs. Players who pre-order before September 30, 2026, will also receive the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle as a bonus item.
