Bungie has announced the date of the next Destiny 2 showcase which will reveal the future of the franchise. The next Destiny 2 showcase is slated for August 23, 2023, where Guardians will be able to learn the details on what’s next for Destiny 2. Bungie has released a new video for Destiny 2 titled No Escape which showcases the key moments from the Light and Darkness saga. Check it out below before we jump into additional details:

The 47-second video does not really reveal what players can expect from the upcoming Destiny 2 Showcase however one thing is clear Bungie is not currently done with the title. The upcoming showcase will reveal the next expansion for Destiny 2 instead of a new title. The trailer is accompanied by the short sentence ‘Witness what’s next’ which also does not really reveal what the new expansion is going to be about. However, after seeing the recent, past expansions for Destiny 2, we can be sure that the next expansion is going to be really good as well.
Currently, in Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted, the free Solstice event is currently live until August 9, 2022. Solstice returns in Destiny 2 to celebrate summer every year and this year is no different. This year, Solstice is offering Guardians new rewards, armor, and a Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon. Every Guardian who jumps in the event will automatically receive a set of redesigned Solstice armor and a chance to pick up the new Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon.
Apart from the new armor and weapon, Guardians can join in on the new Bonfire Bas activity and fend off waves of enemies to upgrade their armor with the new eye-catching glow. Guardians can also head over to Eververse to pick new summer-themed cosmetics and a new Event Card to earn free rewards with an upgrade option that unlocks even more Solstice cosmetics for use in the game. Earlier in May 2022, Bungie also launched the Destiny 2 Duality Dungeon which brought with it new legendary loot and exotic weapons.
