Cyberpunk 2077 Development

CDPR has already confirmed that it is going to be at E3 2019 and that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be showcased at the event. CDPR CFO Piotr Nielubowicz mentioned that Cyberpunk 2077 development is proceeding at full speed and he teased E3 2019 yet again. CD Projekt Red has been teasing this years E3 for a while now and it will be interesting to see what the company has to show.

The company has already mentioned that his E3 2019 is going to be big for it and that there is a strong presentation ready for the fans. The following is what Nielubowicz had to say regarding the matter:

The most important E3 fair in the Group’s history is upon us. We have a truly exciting line-up and cannot wait to present it! For the first time in our history, we will also be showcasing Cyberpunk 2077 at our public stand.

Cyberpunk 2077 Development

Nielubowicz also talked about the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and he mentioned that more than 400 developers are working on the game. This could mean that we are finally going to get a release date at E3 2019. The following is what he had to say regarding the matter:

The development of our next flagship game – Cyberpunk 2077 – is proceeding at full speed, with over 400 people currently involved in the project. In the first quarter, the Group spent 25 million PLN on development of new video games and technologies for a cumulative balance of Research & Development expenditures of 264 million PLN.

That is a lot of money and from what we see here, it is possible that CDPR is also working on another game. That would not be shocking keeping in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 was first teased years ago when The Witcher 3 expansions were not even completed yet. CDPR could tease what they have planned after Cyberpunk 2077 but we are not sure at the moment.

E3 is around the corner so we will find out soon enough. The company has confirmed that there will be no hands-on demo at E3 2019. You will be able to see the devs play the game in the official presentation and you can even watch the game in the public booth. We also know that the game is inspired by Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

Let us know what you think about the development of Cyberpunk 2077 so far and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it comes out.
