Royal Guard Shield Guide – Crimson Desert
The shield can be found east of Demeniss. Go to the east of Demeniss near the Church of East Demeniss.
Once you arrive at the church grounds, scout the area. Look around the graveyard area nearby.
In the southwest corner of the compound, you will notice a hole in the ground. Jump down into it to enter an underground catacomb area. This is where the puzzle section begins.
As you move through the tunnels, stay alert because several traps are hidden along the path. You should bring a bow with you, as it will help you safely trigger trap wires from a distance instead of walking directly into them.
Solving the Catacomb Path
After moving deeper into the underground area, you will eventually reach a room containing a lever. You need to pull this lever. Pulling this lever opens a large stone door nearby and unlocks the next section of the catacomb. Make sure to use your arrow to destroy the trip wire at the entrance before moving forward.
Continue forward, and you will enter a dangerous trap hallway. This section needs to be crossed quickly before the traps on the ground fully activate. If you hesitate too long, the traps can easily hit you.
Once you make it through, look out for another tripwire ahead. Shoot it with your bow to safely disable the trap before moving forward.
Opening the Correct Door
The next room contains three separate levers. You should only use the lever on the right side. This will take you to the Royal Shield.
Pull the right-hand lever and enter the newly opened area. Inside, you will finally find the Demeniss Royal Guard Shield waiting for you. Pick it up and make it a part of your inventory.
The Demeniss Royal Guard Shield is a Tier 5 shield, making it an excellent item to grab early in the game. Along with its strong defensive stats, it also has a unique appearance that pairs especially well with darker armor sets or black-and-yellow gear combinations.
