Catherine: Full Body Game Announcement Coming This Week

Underrated Games Last Decade

Atlus and Studio Zero have shared the news that they have a special announcement to make for Catherine: Full Body later this week on 11 January, 2019. The message was shared on twitter in Japanese.

A teaser for the game was also teased last Thursday where Atlus posted a photo of a sheep captioned “Baa”. Sheep feature prominently as recurring imagery in the game Catherine.

The tweet mentions that the special announcement related to the game will be made on the same twitter account on Friday, 11 January at 12 pm Japan time. No other information was shared about what to expect, and it seems unlikely that the game will be of a western release since the tweet was in Japanese.

Urgent Notice: On January 11 (Friday) at 12:00 (noon), we will make an announcement we have been saving regarding Catherine: Full Body on this account (@stud_zero). Please look forward to it.

However, it is not impossible to say that Atlus will not follow up with a western release in the US, where an announcement can be made in English as well to confirm something in the works.

Catherine: Full Body is scheduled for a release on 14 February, 2019 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. A Western release of the game is also planned, however there is no confirmation date as of yet for its launch.

According to Siliconera, a ESRB rating for the PC version of the game was discovered on Steam through Bayonetta’s Steam Page, where an update was made by ESRB for Catherine on a PC.

The game is rated M (Mature 17+), for its content that displays blood, partial nudity, sexual themes, strong language, use of alcohol, violence.

Catherine was first released in Japan in February of 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It released in North America in July of 2011 and Europe the next year in 2012. The new updated version Catherine: Full Body is again releasing first in Japan on 14 February for the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita, while a worldwide release would expected soon after.

What do you think the special announcement will be about? Are you looking forward to the game? Let us know in the comments below.
