Activision has confirmed the dates of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 open beta which is starting in September 2022. The open beta date for Modern Warfare 2 was announced during the recent Call of Duty League event. Modern Warfare 2 open beta will take place over two weekends where one weekend is exclusive for the PlayStation players while the second weekend will be open for all platforms with crossplay support as well.

Weekend 1 (Exclusive to PlayStation)
- Early Access – 16th, 17th September 2022
- Open Beta – 18th – 20th September 2022
Weekend 2 (Live Across All Platforms with Crossplay support)
- Early Access (Xbox + PC), Open Beta (PlayStation) – 22nd, 23rd September 2022
- Open Beta (all platforms) – 24th – 26th September
Early Access is limited to players who pre-order any version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or those players who manage to get access to the beta through any sort of promotion or any other source. All other players will get access to the open beta when it goes live next month. PlayStation users will be able to experience the open beta over two weekends however PC and Xbox players will only get one weekend.

The upcoming open beta will give players access to the game’s Multiplayer which will include various maps, modes, weapons, and other features. Activision has announced the full reveal of the game for September 15, 2022, so we can expect additional information about the beta during the full reveal of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 along with the future of Warzone. One thing is for certain that it will include the Grand Prix map in the open beta.

For additional details, we will have to wait for the official reveal of the game on September 15, 2022. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was officially announced back in June 2022. Apart from the launch announcement trailer, we have very little information about the game at this point but we know for sure that the upcoming title is a sequel to the original Modern Warfare and it will continue the story where it left off. The open beta normally is a small slice of the full multiplayer experience and we are expecting the same from this upcoming open beta as well however we will only be sure when Activision reveals more information next month so stay tuned.
