Blue Protocol

Bandai Namco has just announced that the company is developing a new online action RPG game called Blue Protocol, which will be making its way to PC. The game is being developed by Project Sky Blue, which is a joint project team by Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios.

The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 4 and is a new entertainment IP aiming to impress to the world. The screenshots of the game in development shows how the developers plan for the game to take full advantage of the Unreal Engine 4, using advanced visuals for the anime looking game. The game will also feature multiplayer action such as that utilizes the qualities of an online game.

While the announcement is all in Japanese, Bandai Namco does, however, share a little detail of the game,

The world is on the brink of devastation, now is the time to unite. March on with friends and strangers, and defeat foes beyond your might. Travel through space and time, to change the future beyond this fight!

The announcement also shared a screenshot of the game, that shows at least three characters with their backs to the camera, Looking ahead at a thin jagged mountain. It also seems that an invisible force or storm is breaking the mountain apart.

From the official game description, it seems like traveling through space would be a big feature of the game. We might see characters going from planet to planet or distant foreign objects for the fight. It also mentions that the game is to be played with friends which suggests that more than one player can take on a fight or a boss.

Unfortunately, there are not many details except the announcement itself by Bandai Namco. However, we expect more information to come in the near future.
