Blazing Chrome Releases Next Month Filled with Contra-Like Action

Blazing Chrome

Fans of the Contra games may get something very similar as Blazing Chrome is set to release next month on July 11. Blazing Chrome is a tribute to the 16-bit era of Contra, and is exactly like the run and gun platformer we have loved. The game will be coming for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.

Developer JoyMasher has made the game that is a throwback to Contra, with a lot of guns blazing action and loud metal music. Check out the latest trailer below:

The trailer shows two of the hidden characters that the players could unlock if they grind enough or get good enough. These characters are Raijin and Suhaila, where one is a sword slashing ninja with a katana as his main weapon, and Suhaila can be seen jumping higher and dashing through the areas.

The action is exactly how you can expect it to be, with bullets flying everywhere, and you have to make your way through five distinct environments as you progress with your story in the campaign. You also get to fight bigger and badder bosses and get to jump o a motorcycle for a chase.

The story of the game is about the main characters trying to fight against an army that has captured humanity in its grip. It is the job of the protagonists to free the remnants of humankind.

On the other hand, Konami has recently announced the Contra Anniversary Collection, along with a new addition in the series, Contra: Rogue Corps, that is going to come this September. Having said that, Blazing Chrome still looks like a true throwback to the classic Contra titles.
