Bloober Team Has Just Revealed a Gameplay Video of Blair Witch

Blair Witch VR

Blair Witch is an upcoming horror game by Bloober Team that was announced last month at E3 2019. The developers have now revealed a new gameplay video for the game, giving us a taste of what is to come in the horror game.

The Blair Witch gameplay was shown at the Game Informer YouTube channel where 10 minutes of gameplay video was shown. Take a look at the gameplay footage below:

The video starts with the developers mentioning how the flashlight is the most important item in the gameplay mechanic. You play the game as Ellis, with your walkie talkie in hand, and your trusty dog named Bullet. Your dog also seems like your partner in navigating through the thick of the forest and in finding clues.

You can also increase your bonding with Bullet, where his skills can be increased to strengthen your relationship with the trusty canine. This can be done by listening to Bullet’s instructions and cooperating with the dog.

We already knew the details that the protagonist walks into the forest in search of a missing boy and that you discover clues and run into creepy encounters. The video does not show any sort of combat and introduces the eerie environmental settings that we can associate to the Blair Witch franchise.

The flashlight, on the other hand, seems to be a big part of the gameplay. It can be used to thwart any evil approaches from the creatures. However, we still don’t know if there is a witch in the game as we saw no appearance in the gameplay video. The flashlight works by not only illuminating dark areas but also to blind enemies and fends them off.

Blair Witch is set to release for the Xbox One and PC next month on August 30. What do you think of the Blair Witch gameplay? Post your comments below.
