BioWare To Make More Mass Effect Games, Developer “Definitely Not Done”

BioWare Mass Effect

With the final touches before the launch of Anthem, its Developer BioWare has reportedly said that they are not done with the Mass Effect franchise. Mass Effect is the game that BioWare is best known for, but the latest game of the series; Mass Effect Andromeda was met with underwhelmed fans in 2017.

In a talk with Polygon, the executive producer Mike Darrah and studio head Casey Hudson talked about the state of the Mass Effect Franchise, especially about if more titles are being developed for the future.

We’re definitely not done with Mass Effect. There’s a lot of stories to be told. We could pull on the threads we put down with Andromeda; we could pull on threads from Mass Effect 3. There’s a lot of interesting space to be explored.

Casey Hudson also added to the interview,

In my mind, it’s very much alive. I’m thinking all the time about things that I think will be great. It’s just a matter of getting back to it as soon as we can.

Although a Mass Effect game is not coming anytime soon, it still assures fans that the franchise is not abandoned and that it is more than likely to come out in the future from BioWare. For now, the studio is busy in Anthem, and rightly so as it is one of the most highly anticipated game of the year, set to release on 22 February.

BioWare is also focused on its upcoming Dragon Age title after Anthem. The game was announced late in 2018 at The Game Awards. Though it is not confirmed that it will be called Dragon Age 4, but we cant rule that out as the game is still very early in development.

The last dragon age game released was Dragon Age Inquisition. The game released November 18, 2014 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. The game continued solid formula of its genre and the game world was bigger than ever.

So if anything, Mass Effect is far away from releasing until BioWare is done with Anthem and Dragon Age.
