How to Beat Jumbo Puff
When you first make your way to this boss in the Jumbo Puff Palace, you will be in your mech vehicle as it takes place in a hostile place that can give you hypoxia. The first phase of the fight ensues while you are in this vehicle, using the weapons attached to it to fight Jumbo Puff.
The Jumbo Puff will enter the battle area with a giant leap at you, sending slow-moving shockwaves of fire towards you. These can be easily dodged, but considering that your mech suit is pretty slow in its movement as well, you might have to dodge to either side to avoid the attacks.
Letting the Jumbo Puff anywhere close to you will be a death wish in the first phase of the fight. This is because it has a blistering fast tongue sweep attack that can hit you very quickly without any warning. By keeping your distance and firing at the boss’s head, you will slowly but surely deplete its health. Over time, the Jumbo Puff will leap up in the air and climb up a higher position. At this point, his health bar will show the infinity sign, meaning that attacking the boss in this phase will be an exercise in futility. The boss will also launch boulders at your location, which is what you should be focusing on and avoiding.
When the boss does return back to the ground, it will open up its mouth as wide as it can, while a button prompt will tell you to use your Sqvip attack inside the mouth. Repeat this process until the boss return with its normal attacks.
This attacking and retreating pattern will return until the boss swallows you inside its stomach. In this stage, you first have to climb up from the stomach using the red climbing points and make your way up through the hole leading towards the heart. As you can guess, your target here is to fire away at the heart, climbing back up if the liquid pushes you back into the stomach. Once you have dealt enough damage, the Jumbo Puff will collapse and spit you out.
