Bethesda Studios recently launched Fallout 76 and we all know how it went. Fans of the long running franchise have been extremely disappointed since the game’s launch and it is not because of Fallout 76’s online capabilities.
When the game was announced, fans were skeptical about the game’s online feature and were hoping that the online feature will be the thing that will kill Fallout 76 because everyone loves Fallout as a single player story-focused open world RPG.
When the game was finally released this year, fans found out that online is the least of their worries. The game looked awful and simply looked like that Bethesda copy-pasted Fallout 4, thrown a multiplayer mod in there and released the game as a brand new Fallout.
This coming from any other small developer would have been expected but from a developer who gave us The Elder’s Scrolls franchise and earlier Fallout titles which were amazing in all perspectives specially Fallout: New Vegas which is my personal favorite, was very unexpected.
To add fuel to the fire, the most expensive version of the game a.k.a. the Collector’s Edition of Fallout 76 was to be launched with a canvas bag but they were shipped with cheap nylon bags which were very poor in quality.
To this date, Bethesda has been issuing apology statements in different cases and have promised to fix the game with future patches and also replace all nylon bags with promised canvas bags. However, recently the developer has also announced that they are giving three free game to all players who purchased Fallout 76 and have played the game.
The three free games that Bethesda is giving to players are included in the Fallout Classic Collection which include Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. This will be given to all players who have since logged in the full version of Fallout 76. This is also not just for PC players but PS4 and Xbox One players will also get it.
Bethesda announced this on their official Twitter account and according to them, the free Classic game collection will be sent to all eligible players who play the game before 2018 ends. Bethesda will start sending the free collection to players in January 2019.
Therefore, if you want to grab the free games which is actually a quite decent collection, you must purchase and play Fallout 76 before 2018 ends. The collection is available on Steam for $19.99 but currently it is on sale for $5.99 but free to all Fallout 76 players.
Fallout 76 is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
