Nintendo has just brought in a new Animal Crossing New Horizons update that sees the addition of Leif’s gardening shop the Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler and new seasonal events. The free update is live right now and can be updated from your Nintendo Switch console.
Leif and Redd are the biggest addition in the update that makes their return in the Animal Crossing series. Both characters have been featured in the past games. Leif comes with his Gardening Shop, while Jolly Redd has his Treasure Trawler.
After downloading the free update, Jolly Redd will occasionally show up in his boat to sell in-game art, as well as furniture with unique colors. Like in previous Animal Crossing games, players will have to figure out which art pieces are real and which are fake. After purchasing genuine art, players can donate it to the island museum to open an art gallery, which will display all types of donated pieces, from paintings to sculptures.
On the other hand, Nintendo has also mentioned the next season events that will be coming in th game. The Nature Day event will start from today, April 23, and will run till May 4. During this event, you will have special Nook Miles challenges that will be inspired by nature goals such as planting trees or watering your plants and flowers.
The first week of May will also bring out the May Day Tour where you can use a one time May Day Ticket to a special island, unlike the usual islands.
The month of the May will also feature a last event for the month which is the International Museum Day that will start from May 18- 31. June will see the beginning of a month long event called Wedding Season where players can go to an island to meet Reese and Cyrus, the married couple inhabiting Harvey’s island.
