Alienware Concept UFO

CES 2020 has been amazing so far and we’ve got to see a lot of cool stuff. Sony even unveiled some PS5 specifications and the official logo for the console during the event. Alienware showcased its brand new prototype called Concept UFO which looks like a portable console and it can play PC games on the go. Looks wise, the prototype looks heavily inspired by Nintendo Switch but underneath, it is a completely different beast.

The Concept UFO is a portable device that looks like a portable console similar to PS Vita or Nintendo Switch however it is a complete PC. The device showcased at the event was not the final product in any means and it was just a working prototype of what the company has in mind for a portable gaming PC. The screen in the middle is essentially a Windows 10 tablet which can be connected or detached from the controllers on either side of the tablet.

The device looks like what Nintendo Switch Pro could have been however it is essentially a PC underneath and not a console so this is a completely different device underneath. It is primarily aimed at portable gaming that explains its console-like look and design. Alienware did not announce a release date or any other technical specs of Concept UFO at this time however it Alienware is serious about bringing the device to its full release, we are sure that we will continue to see more of Concept UFO in the coming days.

Alienware should really go ahead and release the final version of this concept prototype because a lot of PC gamers would love to take their PC games with them and play them on the go. The current lineup of portable consoles includes only Nintendo Switch and while we have a lot of excellent games on it, the hardware is extremely weak and cannot compete with the current generation of consoles let alone PCs.

Check out some of the early release exclusive pictures of Alienware Concept UFO below. Do note that these are just pictures of the concept and not the final version. It is not available for sale as well at this point.
