Blackridge Pass Beacon Guide – Mortal Shell 2
Blackridge Pass Beacon is located just north of Widow’s Overlook. To reach this area, you can travel from Marrow Keep and use the Widow’s Overlook Beacon as part of the route toward the area.
Once you arrive at the Blackridge Pass Beacon, interact with it and rest to cleanse it. Once cleansed, you can walk through it and start moving towards corruption and beyond. Make sure you save your sidearm shots if you are going to try this out. There are big barrels of explosives in the area, and these will be required for creating openings in sections of the route.
One of these barrels can explode if you accidentally shoot one when you are fighting the enemies nearby. Unless you’re trying to use the barrels to clear a path, don’t attack them, as doing so can kill you almost instantly. The first blocked area can be opened by shooting the barrels in it. After they burst open, the way goes on, and you can proceed through the area.
You will encounter a new set of barrels on the final hit of this section; shoot these as well to open the back section and find the path to the other side. You may overlook this easily if you use all the sidearm ammunition on enemies. Not only do the barrels cause environmental problems, but they must also travel down this section of Blackridge Pass. Remember to save enough shots to use at blocked areas.
Once you open the second area, engage the enemy beyond the area and move ahead. There is also a chest located in this area that you can open before passing. Continue along the trail until you arrive at the vicinity of the OAM. Once you have reached here, you can wipe away the corruption and finish the primary goal of the beacon.
Remove the corruption and pick it up. Then, head back to the beacon to finish the process. You will receive a Glimpse as a reward for cleaning the Blackridge Pass Beacon. These Glimpses can be helpful in locating other Shells and are of value if you are still searching for more Shells.
