Reigns Celebrates 10 Years With Free Update Adding 190 New Cards and More

Reigns Free Update

Nerial and Devolver Digital are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Reigns with a substantial free update for the original card-based kingdom simulator, adding 190 new cards, new objectives, characters, and deaths alongside a new secret ending. The update is available now on PC and mobile, giving the game’s more than four million players another reason to return to its swipe-based reign.

Originally released in 2016, Reigns puts players in the role of a monarch who makes decisions by swiping cards left or right. Each choice can affect the balance of the kingdom’s competing powers, with poor decisions potentially bringing an abrupt end to a ruler’s reign. The series has since expanded with Reigns: Her Majesty, Reigns: Beyond, Reigns: Game of Thrones, Reigns: The Witcher, and Reigns: Three Kingdoms.

For the anniversary, Nerial has returned to the original game with a new storyline centered around a local witch. Players can encounter her prophecies and see them unfold if they manage to keep their ruler alive long enough. The update also introduces additional objectives, characters and new ways for a reign to end, while a new secret ending provides another outcome for players to discover.

The anniversary update is free and is available on both PC and mobile. Nerial and Devolver Digital are also offering discounts across the Reigns series for a limited period. Discounts available until 10:00 a.m. PT on August 17 on PC/Steam and until August 20 on the App Store and Google Play include:

  • Reigns — 67% off, $2.99
  • Reigns Beyond — 40% off, $4.99

  • Reigns: The Witcher — 30% off, $5.99
