CORSAIR has expanded its Stream Deck-integrated peripheral lineup with the NIGHTSWORD v2 WIRELESS SD, a wireless gaming mouse that includes a dedicated button for launching Elgato’s Virtual Stream Deck. The mouse is now available, giving gamers and creators access to customizable Stream Deck controls without moving their hand away from the mouse.
Pressing the dedicated Stream Deck Launch Button brings up a Virtual Stream Deck overlay directly on the screen. Through Elgato’s Stream Deck software, users can create customized control panels for individual games, applications, and workflows. These controls can be used for tasks such as managing in-game inventory, triggering ability combinations, switching OBS scenes, or muting Discord.
The NIGHTSWORD v2 WIRELESS SD also integrates its eight programmable mouse buttons with the Stream Deck software. This provides access to the wider Elgato Marketplace, where users can download plugins for applications such as OBS and Discord, as well as community-created profiles. Existing gaming profiles include Cyberpunk 2077, Pragmata, Resident Evil Requiem, ARC Raiders, Diablo IV, and Genshin Impact, with additional profiles expected to be added over time. Users can also create and share their own profiles.
Beyond its Stream Deck functionality, CORSAIR has equipped the mouse with specifications aimed at competitive gaming. It supports up to 8,000Hz hyper-polling in both wired and wireless modes, although achieving the maximum polling rate depends on the host PC’s CPU. CORSAIR says this is up to eight times the polling rate of a standard 1,000Hz mouse.
Wireless connectivity uses an included adapter designed to position the receiver closer to the mouse, reducing the transmission path and helping maintain a consistent connection. The MARKSMAN S optical sensor provides up to 33,000 DPI, 99.7% resolution accuracy, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration. Its optical switches are rated for up to 100 million clicks and are designed to eliminate debounce delay.
Battery life is rated at up to 170 hours on a single charge when using 2.4GHz wireless connectivity with RGB lighting disabled and 1,000Hz polling. Bluetooth connectivity provides up to 164 hours under similar conditions. The mouse can also be used through wired USB-C. Its right-handed ergonomic design includes contoured curves and a thumb rest for extended use.
Customization does not require additional desktop software either. CORSAIR’s Web Hub provides browser-based access to button mapping, macros, DPI adjustments, and Motion Sync settings.
The CORSAIR NIGHTSWORD v2 WIRELESS SD is available now through the CORSAIR Webstore and authorized retailers and distributors worldwide. It comes with a two-year warranty. Pricing was not specified in the supplied announcement.
