Chieftec Introduces BW-01B-OP ATX Workstation Chassis With 360mm Radiator Support

Chieftec BW-01B-OP ATX

Chieftec has announced the BW-01B-OP, a new ATX workstation chassis designed for professional and high-performance desktop systems. The case combines a minimalist front panel design with modern internal layout options aimed at creators and workstation users requiring high storage capacity and flexible cooling.

The BW-01B-OP supports Mini-ITX, microATX, and full ATX motherboards, positioning it as a mid-tower solution for a wide range of productivity-focused builds. Measuring 510mm x 200mm x 465mm and constructed from 0.6mm SGCC steel, the chassis is built around durability and long-term component support rather than compact form factor priorities.

Chieftec BW-01B-OP ATX is a Cooling-Focused Workstation Chassis

Cooling is a central focus. The case ships with a pre-installed 120mm PWM HDB rear fan and supports up to three 120mm or 140mm fans on the top panel, alongside front mounting for two 120mm or 140mm fans. For liquid cooling setups, the top panel accommodates radiators up to 360mm, provided the upper 5.25-inch bay is left unused. CPU cooler clearance is rated up to 157mm, while graphics cards can measure up to 310mm in length, or 410mm if the 2.5-inch SSD cage is removed.

Storage flexibility is another key design element. The chassis includes two external 5.25-inch tool-less drive bays, six internal 3.5-inch bays, and four 2.5-inch bays, allowing configurations of up to ten drives. An easy-to-remove storage cage system enables users to reconfigure internal space depending on performance or expansion needs. Tool-less trays simplify installation, while rubber-grommeted cable routing holes support cleaner airflow management.

Front I/O includes one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, audio-out (AZALIA / HD-Audio), and microphone input, aligning with contemporary workstation connectivity requirements. The unit supports standard ATX power supplies up to 160mm in length and provides seven expansion slots.

Dust management is handled through a removable bottom filter and a magnetic top filter, aimed at maintaining airflow consistency in long-duration workloads. The chassis weighs 8.23 kg without packaging and 9.51 kg boxed.

With growing demand for data-heavy workflows and long-term storage expansion, cases like the BW-01B-OP continue to target users building editing stations, archival systems, or productivity rigs that prioritize internal capacity over RGB-focused consumer aesthetics.

The Chieftec BW-01B-OP is available in black and carries a 24-month warranty. Additional details are available on the official website.
