Similar to Tulin, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is adding Mineru from The Legend of Zelda as well. After the update, you will be able to invite her to your island and make a villa for her if you have a free slot. You will need specific Amiibos in your collection if you want to invite her to your island. We have curated this Animal Crossing: New Horizons Mineru Guide in which we will detail how you can invite Mineru to your island.
How to Invite Mineru to your Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Starting January 15, 2026, you can invite Mineru to your island, and if she decides to stay here, you can call her to Happy Home Paradise DLC. If you have space on your island, you can make a villa for her and invite her to your island’s resort as well. She is part of the ‘The Legend of Zelda’ collab and brings her iconic look to the game.
She is a Deer and her personality is Snooty. This means that she will enjoy herself with other Cranky Villagers, but she will complain about Lazy and Jock Villagers like Tulin. Her character has been created to look like The Legend of Zelda variant with a grey and white deer body with gold markings and purple accents. Her eye color is blue, and she is always wearing a green owl hat with a dress. She will unlock darker-toned furniture for your island, including two dark brown bookcases, a desk, and mossy green carpeting with wallpaper.
Inviting Mineru to Your Island
You will need to scan the right Amiibo to invite her to your island. To do so, head to Resident Services on your island and interact with the ABD machine. Choose Invite a Camper and then scan the Amiibo.
- For the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, the Amiibo scanner is above the Switch logo
- For Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, the Amiibo scanner is above the Home Button, located on the right Joy-Con
After scanning, go to the campground where you will find Mineru inside her own tent. Speak with her, and she will make a request. Complete the request, and she may return later to stay at your island. Make sure that you keep a slot free for her.
