The new Deeper Underground DLC brings the game to modern times in the Roaring Twenties with a new campaign that revolves around refining oil into petrol. You will find new mechanics and unique upgrades as you will not only uncover new resources such as water, dynamite, and rubies, but also create petrol. You will find the same iconic gameplay of the original Turmoil, but expanded with new mechanics, resources, and fun mini-games.

Key features of Turmoil: Deeper Underground involve:

  • Dig deeper into the ground in special new Deep Mode levels
  • New playable characters and NPCs
  • All-new areas and levels
  • A new Town with new shops (and even a new Saloon mini-game called Dice Dice Dice!)

Creative Director Jos Bouman comments:

We’re really happy that we can now also bring the Deeper Underground campaign to the millions of people who have enjoyed Turmoil on their mobile devices. And even though it’s been over 10 years since Turmoil was first released, we’re still looking forward to delivering new oil drilling content in the future!

The base version of Turmoil is set in the 19th century and revolves around you digging for oil and selling it for profit. It features charming visuals and a tongue-in-cheek take on the genre. The new Deeper Underground DLC is currently available exclusively for Android, iOS, and Apple Arcade devices. The base game, Turmoil, is available on PC via Steam as well.
