Super Evil Megacorp and Nighthawk Interactive have announced a new paid DLC that adds Metalhead as a playable character for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. The new DLC arrives on September 30, 2025, across all platforms. The free content update, which is slated for launch alongside the paid DLC, is bringing a brand-new Arcade mode for all players. Metalhead will be the sixth playable character in the game, and he brings new strategies and playstyles to master. He is the first character who is fully ranged. He does not come with any sort of melee arsenal, so you will be able to stick to a distance and take out the enemies. His primary weapon of choice is a powerful laser gun, along with explosive landmines. The landmines allow you to rig the arena before using the laser gun to lure the enemies around and make them go boom. You will also find five new artifacts in the DLC that offer increased variety for runs.
The free update brings some much-needed improvements to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. This is a major update as it brings different audio and visual upgrades along with the Arcade Mode. It is a fast-paced, intense, and unpredictable gaming mode in which you will find unique challenge runs to push your limits to the maximum. It features a Hex and Flex system, which offers a major variety to each run through buffs and nerfs. You can launch this Arcade Mode through the new Home Lair portal to Metalhead’s Lab.
This update brings around 100 improvements across the board, such as adding visual polish, balancing adjustments, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. You will also see new levels, a new storyline, and new powers and enemies.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is currently available on PC via Steam, along with PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Metalhead DLC and the free content update will arrive across all platforms on September 30, 2025. The physical release, including the Deluxe Edition, is slated to release for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on the same date. The Collector’s Edition will arrive later on October 24, 2025. Details are available from local retailers.
