Ubisoft has just officially revealed the year Rainbow Six Siege 6 season 3 Crystal Guard along with the new Operator, Osa. The new season will also bring light reworks to the maps Coastline, Bank, and Clubhouse.
The main highlight of any new season in Rainbow Six Siege is the new Operator. This time it is Osa, a military engineer who comes from Croatia, equipped with the Talon-8 Clear Shield. this transparent bulletproof shield can be deployed on the ground, in doorframes, or window frames, or even navigate with the shields in her hand (but with restrictions such as no running, weapon stored, and no prone).
Osa is a medium-speed operator that comes with the 556 Xl or PDW9 as primary weapon and the PMM as a secondary weapon.
Moving on to the map reworks which include Bank, Clubhouse, and Coastline, all the three maps have been rebuilt from the ground up to enhance balancing, environmental destruction, sound propagation, and lighting. The 1F Reception bomb site has now replaced the 1F Service Entrance site in Coastline and bringing in more entryways and locations.
When talking about environmental destruction, the Bank and Coastline maps feature new destroyable walls: on Bank, the Railing on 2F Skyline, and on Coastline, the exterior wall in 2F VIP lounge.
Additional updates coming with Crystal Guard include:
- Elite customization: players are now able to equip any headgear with an Elite Uniform if they own both and belong to the same Operator
- Operator balancing (Twitch, IQ, Fuze, Mute)
- Flash Detection System
- Gadget damage adjustments
- Armor rework
- RIM lighting that highlights opponents to avoid unfair camouflage
Lastly, Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game will be welcoming its second Elite skin from Capcom’s survival horror franchise Resident Evil: Lion “Leon S. Kennedy” Elite. This Elite skin will be available on August 17.
