The Pokemon Company has announced the release date for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. Both remakes of the Nintendo DS titles will release on Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2021. The publisher has also revealed the new Box Arts for both of the titles in the announcement tweet and pre-orders have started for both games as well.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were originally released on Nintendo DS consoles and are set in the Sinnoh region. Players explore the Sinnoh region with their starting Pokemon in order to find and catch more Pokemon in order to train them for battles. Unlike Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the remakes are being made by ILCA. The official announcement reveals Lucas and Dawn as the two trainers as well as Dialga and Palkia as the main Pokemon of the two titles.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will feature the original nostalgic story that has been faithfully reproduced while keeping the sense of scale in the original towns and routes carefully preserved. The remakes will also include easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences of the modern Pokemon series as well as the up-close-and-personal Pokemon battle scenes. The remakes will make both returning fans of the series as well as new players very happy.
The three starting Pokemon in the games will be Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Players will begin their journey in the Sinnoh region with one of these starting Pokemon and they explore the region, they will also encounter the Legendary Pokemon Diagla in Pokemon Brilliant Diamon and Palkia in Pokemon Shining Pearl. Pre-orders are now live for both titles including a special Double Pack that includes both titles in one convenient package.
Following the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, The Pokemon Company is also releasing the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus which is set way before the events of these two titles.
