SilverStone SX1000

SilverStone has released a brand-new PSU unit called the SX1000 and it features a fully modular design in an SFX-L form factor. But that is not the special thing about this power supply. That is the fact that Silverstone’s SX1000 power supply is the world’s first SFX-L form factor, which features a 1,000-watt capacity that is fully compliant with ATX 2.4 and EPS specifications.

The SX1000 PSU also has 80 PLUS Platinum certification which has less heat dissipation and is more efficient in electricity consumption. The PSU features a simple black design and utilizes an ultra-quest 120 mm fan which has intelligent RPM control to guarantee cool performance and maintain a near-silent operation.

The PSU also has a fanless mode which stops the fan if the PSU’s workload reaches as low as 20%. The installed fan features a dual ball bearing allowing for both a large amount of reliability alongside the near-silent operation.

The specialty of this PSU unit is being the world’s first 1000-Watt capacity power supply in an SFX-L form factor which will allow more powerful PCs to be built in small form factor casings. Silverstone’s SX1000 power supply contains a powerful single +12V rail and this +12V rail design when paired with the 1000-watt power capacity, makes this power supply perfect for any PC builder that enjoys upgrading their system regularly.

The PSU unit has high-quality Japanese capacitors which allow the power supply to receive the 80 PLUS platinum certification. This certification ensures that at a 50% workload, the power supply will have a 92% efficiency. The SX1000’s fully modular design allows users to only use the cables which they require in their system which reduces the extra cabling inside a PC case.

Coming to the pricing and availability, SilverStone is yet to reveal both. This power supply will surely turn the heads of the people looking to beef up their ATX or Mini-ATX PCs.
