Gamescom 2020 is in full swing with its Opening Night event stream that showcased many game announcements. After the cancellation of E3 this year, the Gamescom event connected players back to the industry with some really big announcements and reveals.
We got to see titles that included Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, while we got some look at the next-gen Dragon Age 4 game. Let’s take a look at all the titles that were announced at the Gamescom 2020 Opening Night.
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War
The recently announced Black Ops got its full presentation at Gamescom that game us the first look at the campaign story of the game. We also got to see the Perseus Briefing Cinematic taking us all the way back to January 1981 at the CIA Headquarters. The cinematic video shows Jason Hudson briefing the US President on an imminent threat of attack.
Doom: Eternal The Ancient Gods Part One
We finally got some gameplay footage for the expansion of Doom Eternal called the Ancient Gods Part One. The DLC expansion releases on October 20, 2020.
Dragon Age
BioWare talked about the next Dragon Age title in a behind the scenes video. However, the studio doesn’t reveal much about the game other than the concept art teaser.
Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual (VR Game)
A little teaser for the next title in the Sam & Max series, where the next title is going to be a VR game. The teaser does not share additional details but does confirm that more information is coming soon.
Surgeon Simulator 2
Doc Brown from Back to the Future announced the next Surgeon Simulator title, Surgeon Simulator 2.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Little Nightmares 2
Little Nightmares 2 got its official gameplay trailer featured at Gamescom 2020. Little Nightmares II is a suspenseful adventure in which you take on the role of Mono, a young boy trapped in a world distorted by the incessant hum of a distant tower. In the company of Six, the girl in the yellow raincoat, his guide, Mono will go to discover the dark secrets surrounding the Signal Tower to save Six from his terrible fate; but their journey will not be simple and straightforward and they will have to face the threats brought by the terrible residents of this world.
Star Wars: Squadrons
The game got its official single player preview featured at Gamescom. Fly as two opposing pilots in Star Wars: Squadrons’ thrilling single-player story, set shortly after the destruction of the second Death Star.
