Firefly Studios has shared a brand new gameplay video of Stronghold: Warlords featuring the China Campaign along with dev commentary. The new footage features the singleplayer campaign for China and shows us a small chunk of the 31 mission strong China campaign called ‘Armies of Yan’ which takes place towards the end of the Warring States period in 226 BC.
Along with the 40-minute gameplay, Firefly Studios Senior Programmer Matt Smith also joins and walks us through the latest editions to the castle building RTS series. The footage features some of the brand new additions to the game as well such as the Fire Lancer, the new Warlords mechanic, and castle sieges as well. This is actually our very first look at the game’s main single-player campaign mode.

The developer has said that as the release date for the game draws near, they will be releasing more and more campaign preview videos to tease game features and general improvements. This will also help them collect more feedback regarding the game. The developer is already paying special attention to community comments and feedback and is making appropriate changes to the game as the development nears its final stages.

Stronghold: Warlords is slated for release on PC on September 29, 2020, and you will be able to play the entire campaign for yourself.
