Overcooked is Now Free-to-Play on Epic Games Store

Overcooked Epic Games Store

Overcooked is now available on Epic Games Store as a free game that is available for players this week. This is not the first time the game was available in the store, as it was free to play roughly around the same time last year.

Overcooked is a chaotic, co-op cooking game Overcooked that looks cute but is absolutely brutal when it comes to gameplay. The developers built the game specifically for local co-op so if you have different people in the house, this is the perfect game for you.

In Overcooked, you will set in the shoes of some of the cutest chefs in the kitchen and try to cook and deliver different recipes in a frantic frenzy. The game features a large variety of different kitchens that come with unique obstacles and cooking hazards. There are tons of recipes to cook in the game as well as coupled with super-fast gameplay.

There were rumors flying around that Epic Games Store would have been giving a free copy of Ark: Survival Evolved this week, but it now seems to have been just a rumor. A leak last month in May indicated that the game would be available after Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is replaced in the store.

However, all is not lost, as developed Studio Wildcard has hinted that it might happen next week. Because of the ongoing protests in the United States, many studios have held off from their plans this week.

Given the situation in the US, and the rest of the world right now, we will be rescheduling the ARK in-game celebration until Thursday, June 11. We understand that our community has much anticipated the Ark in-game party and the launch of Crystal Isles, and we’re looking forward to sharing all we have prepared for you next week. We felt it would be inappropriate to celebrate milestones during the present time as there are bigger things afoot, and that outweighs any plans we otherwise had. We believe now is the time to be respectful and hear the voices of others.
