Sony Announces New Release Dates for Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us: Part II

Ghost of Tsushima Bamboo Strikes Locations Guide

Monday was not a very good day for Sony as The Last of Us: Part II got leaked online and fans were really upset and angry over the potential leaks before the release of the title. However, Sony has come forward in an attempt for some damage control and has now announced a new release date for The Last of Us: Part II and has also revised the launch date of Ghost of Tsushima because of the fiasco.

Earlier Sony had delayed The Last of Us: Part II indefinitely blaming the delay over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and claiming that it will hurt the logistics of the game. This has gone horribly wrong for them now because a disgruntled tester or employee has leaked major footage of the game online which showcases the game’s ending and other key story points of the singleplayer experience. This has left fans around the world devastated who were waiting for the game for such a long time with Sony delaying the game again and again.

Now after ruining the experience for more than half of the fanbase, Sony has finally announced the release date of The Last of Us: Part II which will now release on June 19, 2020. In announcing the release date for The Last of Us: Part II, Sony has pushed Ghost of Tsushima further into Summer which will now release on July 17, 2020. This has made fans even more upset because most of them are now blaming Sony for the leaks and are saying that they were looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima now.

For some weird reason Hermen Hulst, Head of Worldwide Studios, SIE is congratulating the companies for releasing the games after such delays and keeping the fans in the dark for so long. While we really feel bad for the developers Naughty Dog, it was Sony’s own doing for delaying a finished product again and again. Fans were already tired of waiting and now the leaks have made them furious. The social media is filled with angry fans who got their games ruined thanks to a disgruntled tester or employee.
