Nintendo Direct March

Nintendo just streamed its Nintendo Direct March presentation, revealing everything coming to the portable Nintendo switch console this year in 2020. The presentation came with several new trailers and announcements for current and upcoming games releasing all throughout this year.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Nintendo has partnered with developer Monolith Soft to bring Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition to the Nintendo Switch, having also confirmed the release date. The game is set to release on May 29 and will bring its action-heavy battles and open world to the portable console.

Borderlands Legendary Collection, BioShock Collection, and XCOM

Nintendo Switch is also going to be getting three major titles that include Borderlands, BioShock Collect, and XCOM. Both the Borderlands Legendary Collection and BioShock Collection include all the first three games and their DLC included in the bundle. On the other hand, XCOM 2 collection will come with the base game, the four DLC packs, and the War of the Chosen expansion.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Seasonal Event

Animal Crossing is also going to start getting its seasonal updates which will bring a new event that begins on the 1st of April. The update will be available for free for everyone owning a copy of the game on their Switch. The event is being called Bunny Day which will be hosted by Zipper the Bunny, hiding eggs everywhere on the island. April will also bring forth another event that will celebrate Earth Day.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order – Shadow of Doom DLC

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 brings out its third and final DLC expansion called Shadow of Doom. Dr. Doom is the main villain of the Fantastic Four and comes with his own dooming plans for Earth and its inhabitants. You can also buy The Black Order Expansion Pass to own all the DLCs together including the previous two DLCs of the game.

Good Job!

Good Job! puts you in the shoes of a clumsy child of the CEO, where you must run the company solving all sorts of puzzles and rising higher to the corporate levels. The scenarios will themselves be quite funny as you find hilarious ways to solve them. Interact with your environment to open doors, push objects, run an assembly line, and maybe break some things in the process. There are many ways to solve a puzzle.

Catherine: Full Body

Atlus is set to bring Catherine: Full Body to the Nintendo Switch on 7 July. Play an extensive story where you have to solve psychological puzzles. The game was first released last year in PlayStation 4, which saw new gameplay features and story content. The game also tells you the story about infidelity and adultery.

King’s Bounty 2

King’s Bounty 2 is a turn-based RPG that is releasing on the Nintendo Switch sometime this year in 2020. The game was previously announced for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Developed by 1C Entertainment, King’s Bounty 2 is the sequel to the classic turn-based combat with open-world exploration. You will also have to choose from three characters before starting the adventure and unlock each unique story related to the character you choose.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate New Character

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also getting a new character that will be coming from ARMS. The new character has not been revealed, but we can expect some information in the coming months. Nintendo is going to bring more information this June, and might also reveal the character set to come in the game.

Bravely Default 2

You can now try out a demo of Bravely Default 2 which is available on the Nintendo eShop right now. Bravely Default 2 is developed by Square Enix and is planned for a full release later this year on an unconfirmed date. The story is about Seth a young sailor who finds himself in the continent of Excillant and its five might kingdoms. Seth will later join forces with Gloria, who is a princess forced to flee her own kingdom.

Clubhouse Games: 51

Clubhouse Games: 51 comes with a collection of traditional tabletop games like checkers, backgammon and dominoes. The collection contains many popular games, as you will have a list of 51 games to play with friends or online multiplayer. The game is set to launch for the Switch on June 5.

Ninjala

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced to bring Ninjala for the Nintendo Switch for free. The game is set to release on the Nintendo eShop on 28 May. Ninjala is an online Ninja Gum Action game featuring a colorful cast of ninjas who engage in dynamic battles while free running across vast environments. These young descendants of ancient ninja clans wield a variety of special items and abilities, highlighted by the use of distinctive “Ninja-Gum” weapons.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is now available on Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released back in 2003, and puts you in the role of a new student at the Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy. You will have to fight multiple Sith enemies across the galaxy. You can customize your character’s species, appearance, and gender, while the game also allows you to forge your own lightsaber design.

Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer

The Nintendo Switch is also going to get another Star Wars game called Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer which is also going to release for the PlayStation 4. A release date has not been confirmed yet, but it is expected sometime this year. The game features 25 playable characters including Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, and Ratts Tyerell. It also has race tracks spanning 8 unique worlds including Tatooine, Baroonda, and Malastare.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake

The remake of Panzer Dragoon is now available on the Switch. The game was originally launched back in 1995 by Sega, which has now been reworked with updated graphics for the Nintendo Switch.

Trials of Mana

The HD remake of Trials of Mana is set to release on April 24, while a free demo is available to play on the eShop right now. Any progress made while playing the game will be transferred to the full game when it launches next month. Trials of Mana the third title in the Mana series and is a highly anticipated game of this year.

Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass

The last thing featured in the Nintendo Direct March 2020 was the expansion pass that was announced for Pokémon Sword and Shield. The first part of the pass is called The Isle of Armor, which is set to launch sometime at the end of June this year. The update will also bring a new legendary fighting type called Kubfu, two new gym towers where you can choose the Tower of Waters or the Tower of Darkness.
