We are on an adventure to make the best RPG we’ve ever made, and that has required us to reinvent all of our tools, our technology, our processes, but above all, also grow our team.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will be the third and latest title in the franchise. The first-ever game, Baldur’s Gate was released back in 1998, followed by a second title Baldur’s Gate 2 in 2000. It has been 20 years since the last game, and there is a lot of hype among the fans of the series who would be eager to see some gameplay video.
Last year, Vincke had confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be skipping a release on the Epic Game Store as the studio does not believe in exclusivity. The studio wants the game to be available everywhere like Steam, GOG. Releasing it on Epic Game Store would have meant that it would be exclusive for a time period which usually lasts a year or less.
You will see Steam pages pop up, you will see GOG pages pop up, but no Epic pages will pop up. I don’t see why not; I don’t believe in exclusives; I prefer to be everywhere. Everything we’ve done in the past has been about adapting to the divide that you’re playing on because the device shouldn’t matter when it comes to playing our games. That’s the only way they’re going to spread, so I really don’t want to lock down to one platform or another.
