The Xbox E3 2019 press conference is set for June 9, as confirmed by Microsoft. The press conference will be held on the Sunday before E3 officially starts. The show will be hosted by Microsoft and will start at 1 pm PDT.
In the event, we are expected to see in depth looks at the previously announced games, and trailers for any upcoming titles in 2019, or ahead. Previously, Xbox boss Phil Spencer had said that he expects E3 to be very interesting this year.
We’re the only platform holder with a live stage show, and I feel some responsibility for that and want to represent gaming. Our new studios are going to have things to show, some of which nobody has ever seen before.
Spencer said that we can expect to see Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds during the briefing and that the studio will provide a look at current projects.
It’s been nice as you’re starting to work with these studios, they come in, I think how big of a deal E3 is for a platform and I can see them getting excited about it. It’ll take years to have them fully integrated in the way all the teams do, because different teams are at different parts of the development cycle.
There is a possibility that Microsoft might talk about the next Xbox and what to expect in the next generation. A little teaser cannot be ruled out in such a big event as E3.
E3 is less than a couple of months away, and with Phil Spencer, it seems that it will be a very interesting event. Microsoft will have all the spotlight, as Sony is not going to be in this year’s E3. To follow the Xbox E3 briefing, you can go to Xbox’s official website.
