Co-op Puzzle Game 39 Days to Mars Heading to PS4 This Fall

Review 39 Days to Mars PS4

It’s Anecdotal has announced that its co-op puzzle-adventure game 39 Days to Mars is releasing on PS4 this fall. After its release on PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, the game is finally making its debut on the flagship console by Sony this winter. Players will be able to join Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honorable Clarence Baxter for a one of time 19th-century adventure.

In 39 Days to Mars, players play solo or with a friend in an alternate reality some 150 years in the past where they must pilot HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. Naturally, like all maiden voyages, HMS Fearful is bound to have some problems such as the engine running out of coal, ship’s cat shredding the navigation chart and tea getting cold.

With all such problems at hand, the players must improvise and use their skills to work towards solving a number of puzzles and action sequences to ensure that they get to Mars in once piece let alone the promised 39 days. Check out the 39 Days to Mars PS4 version trailer below.

39 Days to Mars has won a number of different awards since it was released such as the Best Game Award at MIGA 2018 along with Best First Game Best Narrative Design at the same event. It also won Best Game, Best Art, Best Sound, and Best Narrative at BIG 2018 which is Brazil’s largest indie game festival.

It’s Anecdotal is not new when it comes to video games. Despite being a one-person indie development studio of Philip Buchanan, the studio has worked previously on Lara Croft GO and Hitman GO. Philip is now expanding his own wings and developing small indie titles that are concise and give memorable experiences to players along with strong atmospheres.
