Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood has finally received a release window with developers Bigben Cyanide revealed the trailer at the PDXCon event in Berlin. This is the first such reveal of the game after it was previously announced back in 2017.

The trailer does not show any gameplay, but scenes of what seems to be the protagonist and his alternate appearance as a large and menacing looking werewolf. Take a look at the reveal trailer below:

The details as still quite vague, especially the information about the gameplay. However, an official game description does talk about the plot and the protagonist you play as. The main character is called Cahal, who is a banished werewolf. He has to return back to his tribe to save them, and to take down everyone that is trying to destroy and pollute the Mother Earth, Gaïa. Cahal is challenged to fight in the great war against a powerful corporation called Pentex.

Over at the PDXCon event, Cyanide talked about the game having plenty of character customization options in line with the source material. The game will also have a strong connection of the protagonist and the nature around him. Not surprising, as one of his main goals is to protect the Earth. Talking about the rage mechanic, the developers have added that rage will add subtlety to the game which will require players to learn to control it in order to make the most of it.

There is also no release date confirmed as of yet, but the developers have given a release window, stating that the game is expected to release in the Summer of 2020. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is going to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
