Kool2Play has announced that their upcoming top-down action game Uragun is getting an Early Access release on March 30th, 2022. Before its early access release, however, you will be able to get a taste of the title by checking out the free demo which will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest on February 21, 2022.
Uragun will allow you to experience being a deadly but charming Mech looking for his pilot in a world overrun by hostile machines. The developer Kool2Play has been working on the title for years and the game even went through a complete overhaul of gameplay in 2021 after Game Director Fran Aviles (Deep Rock Galactic) joined the team. The developer is now finally in a position to release the title in Early Access and finalize the development of the title.
Uragun features you playing as a deadly, but charming Mech that has awakened in a world overrun by corrupted AI. Your goal is to search for your missing pilot and friend and while doing so, you will get to experience spectacular locations like deserted Barcelona, an overgrown and futuristic-looking Hong Kong, and even the mines hidden in the snowy mountain rifts of North America. You will need to master the game’s challenging and fast-paced combat in order to survive.
Key features of Uragun include:
- Fast-paced combat that will test your skills and reflexes
- Hand-crafted levels tailored for intense and tightly measured challenges
- Deadly weapons and upgrades unlocked with progression
- A beautiful, devastating mech unit in a beautiful devastated world
During the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the free demo of Uragun will feature the tutorial and 4 missions taking place across two different biomes. You will be able to familiarize yourself with the basic mechanics and learn how to control the Mech and also get started with the narrative of the campaign during the demo. The demo will go live on February 21, 2022, on the game’s Steam page where you can also add the title to your wishlist.
