Ubisoft Reveals Its Own Streaming Service Uplay Plus, Launches September

Uplay+

Ubisoft has just revealed its own game streaming service at the E3 2019 press conference, and it launches on 3 September 2019. Uplay Plus will be a monthly subscription service that will cost $14.99 a month and will feature more than a hundred games, with 6 games coming.

The announcement was made by Ubisoft’s vice president of platform and product management Brenda Panagrossi. If you are interested in the service, you can sign up at Ubisoft’s Uplay website.

The service will launch on September 3, but players who sign up between now and August 15 will be able to get free access to Uplay Plus from September 3 through September 30. With Uplay Plus, you can download games directly to your PC, meaning that you can play offline-enabled games without connecting to the internet

The six confirmed games that have already been confirmed for the service are listed below:

  • Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
  • For Honor
  • Beyond Good and Evil
  • The Division 2
  • Rayman Legends
  • Child of Light

Follow these titles, brand new titles will also be joining the service. This includes the upcoming Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and the recently announced Watch Dogs Legion.

The games that the service will provide will be served over the web, and no download will be required. Panagrossi also went on to state that Uplay Plus will also be a part of Google Stadia game streaming platform next year. This means that the service would not only be available on PC only, as you will be able to access it through Google Stadia.

This makes it the first partnership between Google’s cloud gaming platform and a third-party publisher since the announcement of Stadia itself. The service was announced by  Phil Harrison earlier this week that detailed the new service from Google and how it will work when it fully launches by the end of this year.
