After much hue and cry, Ubisoft has announced that they are going to fix the controversial ending in the latest DLC of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Fans were not happy about the game ignoring their relationship choices and following a pre-defined formula and making the ending choice for the players itself.
In the end of the story of the latest DLC, the game would simply ignore all player choices relating to relationship in the base game. The base game gave players the options to date same sex characters and different sex characters.
At the end of the DLC, the cutscene displayed would ignore all the choices and enforce the player having relationship with a different sex character in order to have a baby. This was taken very seriously by players around the world who supported the LGBT community and the developers had to take this decision.

This was highly pursued after by GLAAD which is a LGBT media advocacy group and Ubisoft made their decision to change the ending after consulting them. After the decision, a future patch will alter a cutscene, dialogue bits and an achievement/trophy name.
It is currently not known when the DLC patch will be released but Ubisoft will ensure that is not long because fans will want to replay the DLC bit to get the ending that they actually wanted instead of the one that the game chose for them.
Ubisoft is also currently busy with the next chapter of Bloodline which is named The Fate of Atlantis. This will be the last chapter of Bloodlines and due to the current change in the ending and other choices, Ubisoft will also need to work on any potential changes in the upcoming DLC as well.
