The Callisto Protocol Weapons Guide – Best Weapons, Upgrades

The Callisto Protocol Weapons Guide

There are only a few weapons in The Callisto Protocol and each has its own effective way of dealing damage and stunning enemies. However, some weapons are better than the rest when used in combat. This Callisto Protocol Weapons Guide will show you all the weapons in the game, while also showing you the best ones that you should use.

The Callisto Protocol Weapons Guide

There are nine weapons in the game, where you first begin with melee weapons, moving on to powerful guns to be used to take down all sorts of enemies.

Shiv

This is the first weapon that you will be using as you start the game. It is obtained automatically when you are in the prison. The Shiv also becomes your main weapon for stealth takedowns, letting you take down unaware enemies without alerting others nearby.

Melee Axe

The first real weapon that you can actually swing is the Melee Axe. Like the Shiv, this axe is obtained automatically in the early stages of the game in the prison. Use it by swinging it at the enemies and knocking them out with a few hits.

Stun Baton

A more powerful weapon that can effectively take down enemies in a faster, better way, is the Stun Baton. This weapon is dropped by the prison guards that you can then pick up and use it on enemies.

Hand Cannon

The first gun that you can get is the Hand Cannon, a pistol that will now allow you to shoot from some distance, instead of taking the fight to the enemies with your previous melee weapons. As the name suggests, it is a cannon that shoots one bullet that is enough to tear through the enemies, like a hot knife through butter.

GRP

This is a unique weapon that lets you hook up a target far away and bring them close. The best way to use this weapon is with a combo attack, where you first pull in an enemy close to you and then follow up with a powerful finisher. In addition, it can also be used to throw objects where you want.

Skunk Gun

This shotgun of a weapon is obtained when you are in the Habitat chapter, allowing you to fire a small concentrated group of pellets on the target area that you focus on.

Riot Gun

One of the best guns is the Riot Gun, a real shotgun that packs a brutal punch. The best part about this weapon compared to the Skunk Gun is the ammo clip which lets you have more ammo. What makes it the best weapon is its effectiveness, faster use, more ammo, and its powerful delivery of pellets.

Tactical Pistol

This is a fast-shooting handgun that doesn’t deal a ton of damage but lets you shoot pretty fast. While we wouldn’t recommend it over the Hand Cannon, it can have its uses, especially when you are looking to shoot at tentacles.

Assault Rifle

The last weapon that offers automatic fire is the AR, the long-range weapon that most players would want to have. We would still rate this weapon below the Riot Gun, but it offers a sense of security with the number of bullets it holds and how stable it is to use against all sorts of enemies.

The Riot Gun beats the AR purely by how powerful it is and how much damage it deals with each shot. The Assault Rifle doesn’t deal a lot of damage, especially when comparing it with the Riot Gun, but it does let you spray a ton of bullets at will.
