The Callisto Protocol has just been released on PC and it is already causing issues for players with lag, while some are complaining that the game does not even hit 60fps. To make the best of the game without going through this ordeal, you can choose some of the solutions that can help you fix lag, and go for the best performance setting, if not graphically a high-quality setting.
How to Fix Lag in The Callisto Protocol
In its current state, there are a few steps that can help you with lag issues in gameplay. Many Redditors have reported that changing from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11 solves the issue and makes the gameplay much smoother, but you can also make it better by disabling both the depth of field and motion blur from the graphics settings.
If that doesn’t work, you can also try restricting the gameplay to 60fps on 1080p resolution, while tweaking the quality of shadows setting.
